This one was a bit of a cheat actually! I got a sponge cake from the supermarket. I made icing and separated it into two bowls. I coloured one blue, and the other purple. Iced the middle of the two cakes, sandwiched them together, and iced my patterns.Icing:
Icing Sugar
Boiling Water
Easiest icing ever invented. Pour out a bit of icing sugar to start. Add about 2/3 drops(!) of boiling water and mix in. It should create a smooth consistency icing. If not, never fear, add more icing sugar or water and stir. Add more sugar/water to achieve the desired amount of icing.
Variations:
Chocolate: Add a teaspoon (or slightly more depending on quantity of icing) and stir.
Coloured: Add a few drops of food colouring and stir.
Vanilla/Other Essence: Add a few drops of essence and stir.
